“The Synæsthetic Oil Spill Lightshow was started by Billy Gruber and is based out of Dayton Ohio. An active percussionist since youth, Billy started his audio visual journey in 2016 as a way to bring color to sound for friends in his local music scenes while honoring the avant-garde liquid traditions of psychedelic foreparents. Now hybridizing the classic techniques with half vintaged digital technology, SOS travels across the midwest & furthur to bath performers & spectators in a mixture of liquid light, feedback, and glitched out pop culture references pushed through projectors & into crt tv installations. Billy invites you all to turn on, drop in, & freak out with SOS Lightshow!”
