A Giant Dog is raucous ear candy culled from the hook-driven melodies of Slade, the glammy swagger of Marc Bolan, the morbid fantasy of Killer-era Alice Cooper, and the unpredictable wit of Sparks. These songs are by, for, and about the losers, freaks, and outcasts. The lonely. The terminally horny. Boozehounds and party animals!
A Giant Dog is an American punk rock band from Texas, described by Bandcamp Daily as "one of Austin's most thrillingly irreverent bands" and consisting of Sabrina Ellis, Andrew Cashen, Andy Bauer, Graham Low, and Daniel Blanchard.
They have six albums and one EP on the famed indie label Merge Records, including the brand new "Bite" (2023) and the "Neon Bible" cover LP of Arcade Fire. Ellis and Cashen also form the rock band Sweet Spirit.
