Malcolm Xavier
Malcolm Xavier is one of the best and most sought after open format DJ’s in D.C. with regular appearances in major cities such as Los Angeles and Boston. As the Friday Night DJ at 93.9 WKYS and the go-to dj for all the major clubs/venues in D.C. and for trusted brands including Nike, the Washington Redskins, Hyde Lounge, W Hotels Worldwide, and Trillectro, Malcolm Xavier’s roster is steadily growing. His interest in music peaked while attending the University of Maryland where he started a weekly on-air show at the college radio station WMUC Radio. Establishing himself as a DJ and curator over the next 3 years, Malcolm Xavier curated an annual concert series at the university where he premiered the now popular artists J.Cole, Wale, & Big Sean, who were up and coming at that time.
As a musical influencer within the District of Columbia, Malcolm Xavier’s popularity gave way to a weekly party series, Joy Club DC, which features top DJ’s from across the country at the buzzing venue Cloak & Dagger DC. He also has a monthly spinoff series, Joy Club Lite at the notable Velvet Lounge which has become an incubator for showcasing newer DJ’s and local talent. The success of many ventures and gigs has led to Malcolm Xavier being one of the top requested DJs for popular artists such as 21 Savage, Wale, Curren$y, and Shy Glizzy, which ultimately led to him being a regular guest DJ at the hottest venues in Boston and Los Angeles. Malcolm Xavier is an ever-evolving DJ with a keen sense for what a crowd craves. His goal is simple and singular, to be the best; a goal he is quickly proving to be in arms reach.
