5 Years ago DJ Vex approached DJ Smi about starting a night of one of our favorite types of music from the place that music and humanity itself began. AFROHEAT! was born. That year we set things off at Round Corner Cantina, then a short stint at Kelly Strayhorn Theater and eventually moved to Spirit. In that time we have also done events at Boom Concepts and at the CMOA and Ace Hotel. Few years back Vex moved to Phoenix and has kept the vibes going at Valley Bar, one of the city's premier downtown music venues.
