The Making Safer Spaces Event Series Aims to Create a Dialogue and Leadership for Sexual Assault Prevention

As part of April's Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Kim DeLisio and Heather McNeil of Higher Good Coalition have created Making Safer Spaces, a two part event series that aims for sexual assault prevention through community dialogue, accountability, and leadership.

Part one of the Making Safer Spaces series is a Sexual Assault Prevention Leadership Training session at Legume Bistro (214 N. Craig St) on Sunday, April 17th from 2 - 3:30 pm.

Part two is a benefit dance party for PAAR on Sunday, April 24th from 9 pm - 2am at Spirit Lodge with DJs AFROHEAT and KMFD.

21+ event with a $5 admission and a badass raffle!

All proceeds will be donated to PAAR!

The Making Safer Spaces series is part of the national campaign, It's On Us, which is dedicated to creating a cultural shift in the way we think about, talk about, and act around sexual assault by establishing a sense of ownership over the problem and providing tips, tools, and inspiration to empower everyone to make a difference everyday.
